I always liked films when I was younger I used to watch those Alex Cox moviedrome series of curated cult films. Like music or painting its the idea of making something beautiful from nothing. I was less high art but I’m not adverse to those its more having fun with images words pictures and sounds. From being a Teenager I had always wanted to make films of course the ability to do so is more complex. Over the years I had occasionally done the odd animation but nothing too much I had a job and social life. Anyway In 2014 I started playing a reboot of a game I had played as a kid and soon realised it looked good enough to do a space series or something It just needed some characters and an old program called moviemaker and it might be fun. It was fun I would do the scripts on my way into work on the bus and never really got far in the game spending most of my time looking for good shots. At first they were quick one a week things the last couple of episodes took a lot longer still it only really spanned a year 2015 and then I moved onto other video projects. I didn’t do it for anything but fun really I liked the problem solving aspect of it you get an idea pop up in your head and the fun bit is trying to bring it to life. Of course I had no idea they were prophetic in anyway except for some of them like lamplight or the gulf between us.
These were a mix of other videos I’ve done both montages and some more recent animations.
What remains of the feature film I was going to do/doing the overall plot I realised was very similar to watership down also a favourite of mine. Sadly I had to abandon it but I salvaged a recut which is below.
